Business Development Manager

Full Time – Brisbane CBD
Exciting opportunity for an experienced Business Development Manager to join a fast-growing startup that is a pioneering BNPL in hospitality.

About the Role 
  • We’re looking for a Business Development Representative who can navigate the hospitality industry. 
  • Primarily you will conduct your meetings face to face with the option to do Zoom presentations where possible. 
  • Cold calls and cold reach outs through email and Linkedin are part of your everyday routine.  
  • You’ll report to the Head of Sales and work closely with the venue onboarding specialists.
Key Responsibilities
  • Generate new business leads in your territory 
  • Account manage and grow existing accounts
  • Outbound prospecting via cold calling, email, Linkedin and closing deals through established networks.
  • Utilise Salesforce to manage your pipeline and report on all sales activity
  • Create in-depth proposals and reports for merchants 
  • Work closely with the Head of Sales on your target lists and strategy to drive new business
  • Meet with merchants in person to demonstrate how Payo can improve their business
  • Work with our Account Management team to ensure a smooth handover of accounts post close
  • Maintain a healthy and active pipeline
  • Keep up to date with all the latest product developments internally and market trends externally.
  • Deliver on monthly targets set by your Head of Sales
About You
  • Previous experience prospecting or selling
  • Experience with Salesforce preferred
  • Ability to build outstanding customer relationships
  • Solid experience in a new business sales environment
  • You’re comfortable in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment
  • You have a passion for the hospitality industry and a list of contacts who are venue owners or managers
  • Comfortable with targeting new business and have proven field sales experience
  • A deep understanding of the hospitality industry and a high level of product knowledge to demonstrate to merchants 
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, detail-oriented and extremely hardworking
