Business Development Manager

Full Time – Sydney
 
We’re on the hunt for a results-driven and self-motivated Business Development Manager to join our team. We’ll challenge you to bring your expertise in prospecting new businesses, along with your creative problem-solving skills, competitive fire and inquisitive nature to this role. Work alongside a thriving sales team who develop new opportunities and help our company grow.
 
This role is open to candidates based in Sydney with a hybrid working model.
What you’ll do:

 

  • Introducing and following up with new contacts and generating new business leads in person, over the phone or via Zoom.
  • Achieving sales and KPI’s via outbound prospecting via cold calling, email, LinkedIn, and closing deals through established networks.
  • Building and managing an extensive network and developing deep relationships with institutions and individuals who become ongoing supporters and referees
  • Utilise HubSpot to manage your pipeline and report on all sales activity
  • Successfully converting leads and growing existing accounts.
  • Become an expert on the latest product developments internally and externally.
  • Liaising internally with other departments to support and execute initiatives when needed
 
Ideally you’ll bring:

 

  • Prior Sales/ BDM experience selling to business owners and purchasing managers within the hospitality industry
  • Experience in using a CRM, preferably HubSpot however, not essential
  • The ability to strategically adapt your communication style as you’ll be partnering with all sorts of people
  • Solid understanding of the sales process, negotiations, contracts and account management.
  • Passion for technology and an innate desire for learning and creative problem solving
  • A drive to be part of the process of building a successful business in a start-up environment
  • A deep understanding of the hospitality industry and a high level of product knowledge to demonstrate to merchants
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Venue Partnerships Manager

Full Time – Sydney
 
We’re seeking an energetic, determined and dynamic full-time Venue Partnerships Manager in Sydney who are passionate about the hospitality industry. You’ll collaborate with partners to expand our understanding of ways we can support them, and deliver value through operational management to drive growth and help our venues maximise their revenue generation through one of Payo’s many services.
 
This role will follow a hybrid working model.
What you’ll do:

 

  • Identify and communicate our product’s value proposition to the key stakeholders of the business to allow a long-term, sustainable position within our partnership relations
  • Build effective and trusted relationships with Partners and deliver on or exceed retention goals and be their key point of contact
  • Develop and maintain product knowledge for Payo’s suite of products, and stay on top of all new enhancements to advise external stakeholders on adding maximum value
  • Proactively spot and remove roadblocks that could affect customer satisfaction or retention and communicate feedback to ensure we are continually focusing on improving the client’s experience
  • Initiative field visits to venues for onboarding and ensuring full adoption of Payo’s products provide a smooth user experience
 
Ideally you’ll bring:

 

  • Previous experience in a similar role or within the hospitality industry
  • Ability to learn quickly and proactively initiate action to fill any knowledge gaps in a dynamic environment
  • Highly collaborative way of working, making good use of feedback loops and rallying all relevant parts of the organisation around driving customer success.
  • A people person! Able to quickly build trust and rapport and develop positive relationships both internally and externally.
  • Excellent verbal communication, interpersonal skills and presentation skills
  • Self-motivated, outcome-driven individual with the desire to roll up your sleeves and own the role
  • Entrepreneurial spirit or previous experience in early start-ups with the skills to navigate around ambiguity
