Digital Marketing Specialist

Full Time – Melbourne CBD

About the Role
In this role you will work closely with the Head of Marketing to execute regular marketing campaigns across multiple platforms that work towards achieving the business’ objectives of user/merchant acquisition.
You will own our online customer journey experience and are an expert in all things email, with skills in content creation, creative copywriting, marketing automation and CRM analytics. You have experience in building dynamic email campaigns, nurture programs and customer journeys through multiple platforms including email and SMS.
General experience in social media management, event management, organic and paid marketing with an analytical data-driven approach is highly desired.
Key Responsibilities
  • Work with the marketing team to plan, deliver and report on creative email campaigns.
  • Create and execute content calendars across payo’s owned platforms, especially email and social media.
  • Use your excellent copywriting skills to curate emails and other content with strong creative and compelling copy to drive results.
  • Work with the Marketing team to evaluate the current email platform and scope alternative options that will better support the business growth.
  • Report on paid and organic campaign results across platforms and provide recommendations to the marketing and leadership team.
Key Skills
  • Previous email marketing experience with B2B and B2C through any of the main email platforms such as Mailchimp, Hubspot, Marketo or Sprout.
  • Experience in customer journey mapping and building campaigns.
  • Strong copywriter with the ability to create content within the brand personality and tone of voice.
  • Proficient in digital marketing tools like Google Analytics, Salesforce, Google Ads, Facebook Business, Adobe Design Suite/Photoshop and Canva.
  • The ability to work autonomously, but also work closely with internal and external teams and agencies.
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced, start-up environment that is ever-changing, experimental and has tight deadlines.
  • Analytically minded with strong attention to detail.
  • You understand the hospitality space and are passionate about all things food.
  • 3 + years experience in marketing.

About the Role
Payo is at an exciting time in its growth in the Australian market and we are seeking a creative full time Graphic Designer to assist our brand develop. Working with the Head of Marketing, it will be your responsibility to bring the payo brand to life ensuring the brand’s personality and tone of voice is delivered in creative work.
The role will require you to create content and assets that are on-brief, ensuring payo is showcased creatively through eDM, social and online content both organic and paid, and through any point of sale, sales collateral, print and event materials.
Key Responsibilities
  • Develop, design and deliver marketing assets in line with brand guidelines, brand blueprint and to brief.
  • Work with the marketing team to develop creative ways to deliver campaigns contributing creative ideas and news concepts to test in the market.
  • Design digital assets to be used across the brand’s owned and paid media platforms. This includes display banners, eDMs, animated GIFs, basic videos, organic and paid social media. 
  • Design internal sales and marketing materials including presentations and other sales collateral.
  • Preparing artwork for a variety of other mediums such as print and outdoor advertising, event marketing materials and point of sale material for venues.
  • Design and develop content that aligns to the company’s content calendar across payo’s owned platforms, especially email and social media.
  • Work and take guidance from a third party agency to help bring brand ideas to life through the development of relevant creative marketing assets.
  • Use your excellent copywriting skills to help develop compelling content.
Key Skills
  • The ideal candidate will be engaging and enjoy communicating and being part of a team, have strong attention to detail, be creative but can follow guidelines and a marketing brief.
  • You are able to create assets that demonstrate a balance of creative flair and commercial understanding.
  • You will be practical and be able to structure your time to meet the many deadlines that all Graphic Designers face.
  • You will also have advanced skills in Adobe Suite (Photoshop, Indesign, illustrator) knowledge of G-Suite and relevant tertiary qualifications.
  • 3-5 year’s design experience and can show a portfolio of work.
