Payo, Australia’s first ‘buy now, pay later’ app exclusive for the hospitality industry, is excited to announce its partnership with OzHarvest, Australia’s leading food rescue organisation.
As an ‘Awesome Partner’, payo has committed to donating $100,000 over 12 months, enabling OzHarvest to deliver an additional 200,000 meals to those in need. These additional meals will also divert 100,000 kilograms of food from going into landfills and will prevent 660,000 kilograms of greenhouse emissions by avoiding food waste.
There has never been a greater need for food rescue services with more people turning to food relief for the first time, a direct result of COVID-19 lockdowns and restrictions over the past 18 months.

Payo users can also make a positive difference when processing an order payment at the ‘checkout’. Via the app, customers now have the option to donate $1 to OzHarvest which is enough to provide two meals to people in need.

The session will give payo the opportunity to see firsthand, how rescued food is turned into delicious, nourishing meals for people in need while learning how to reduce food waste.
